Welcome to the pages of the Heversham Grammar School Old Boys Society.

For the past few years there has been an on-going discussion about the best way to keep in touch with Old Boys, either male or female. A major concern of the Society was that while some OBs remained in the area others, probably the majority, were scattered around the World and either found it difficult to keep in touch or had lost touch altogether. It was decided that a Web page (this one) would be set up as a trial to see if people were trying using the Web to contact the OBS or see Heversham as it is now.

The results have been very successful with OBs from all Continents, and from just down the road from Heversham, getting in touch again. In fact the results have been so successful that a User Group for the OB community has been set up. This allows the OBs to operate in "cyberspace", with news and photos being swapped, diaries of events being set up, even votes taken on what form the menu for the next reunion should be.

Recognising that not all OBs can make the annual reunion there has been a move to develop other types of reunion. These include Year Reunions, where a specific year have a special reunion perhaps 25 years after starting or leaving. Mini or Regional reunions have also taken place away from Heversham but where there are a number of OBs, perhaps USA, Australia or Southern England even.

If you want to find out more about OBS operations on the Web send an e-mail to John Handley, Peter Ormond or myself. We are, of course, always looking for new members so if you are prepared to be relieved of a whole £1.00 for Annual membership or £10.00 for Life membership so much the better.

Either way, (Old Boy or not, whether you join or not), thanks for taking the time to read about Heversham Grammar School Old Boys Society.
